Las Calas is a 17th century “Casa Solariega” (noble house), located in the heart of Gran Canaria Island. The hotel is placed in a pretty hamlet called La Lechuza, in Vega de San Mateo. The renovation work has preserved the traditional architecture features of the house.
In 1998 Magüi Carratalá began the conversion work whose results we see today. Hotel Las Calas has been carefully designed and renovated using materials such as wood and stone and warm natural colours. The pure classic structure of the original building is combined with modern decoration and tasteful interior design.
Many tourists choose Hotel Rural Las Calas as an alternative to the typical tourist hotels on the Canary Islands. After falling into oblivion, it has been painstakingly restored, making sure even the slightest details contribute to the comfort of guests. Each room has an exclusive design. They are all fully equipped and combine objects of minimalist design with traditional furniture. The decoration will surprise you with objects and materials from different places all over the world, giving each room a distinct style and a special atmosphere.
Hotel Rural Las Calas allows pets on request. Wi-Fi is available and free of charge.
